As the founder of Swaayatt Robots and Deep Eigen, I focus on developing cutting-edge algorithms for autonomous vehicles, enabling them to navigate highly complex and unpredictable environments. My entrepreneurial journey began when I deferred a PhD offer from UMass Amherst to fully commit to building Swaayatt. There, I pioneered the use of multi-agent reinforcement learning for navigating the challenging road conditions of India.
My research spans reinforcement learning, deep learning, and motion planning, all aimed at advancing autonomous navigation in stochastic-complex-adversarial scenarios. At Deep Eigen, I teach computer science and mathematics, with a mission to make advanced education accessible and impactful.
My core research focus is the development of novel algorithmic frameworks enabling autonomous agents to navigate unknown environments with complex traffic dynamics.
To achieve these goals, my research encompasses reinforcement learning, deep learning, motion planning, machine learning, deep computer vision, mathematical optimization, and manifold theory.
At Swaayatt Robots, I spearhead research to advance autonomous driving technology, focusing on navigation through complex and stochastic traffic dynamics, both on- and off-road. My work includes developing and testing autonomous vehicles in diverse environments, with a special emphasis on Indian roads. I leverage reinforcement learning, deep learning, and SLAM to enable vehicles to navigate without high-definition maps, using off-the-shelf cameras for perception. Recently, I've incorporated abstraction learning and embodied intelligence to enhance vehicles' understanding of their surroundings and improve navigation capabilities.
At Deep Eigen, I am focused on developing cutting-edge courses in theoretical computer science and applied mathematics, with a broader mission to revolutionize educational methodologies and technologies. Our goal is to tackle critical educational challenges through innovative approaches that enhance learning outcomes and accessibility. By leveraging advancements in educational tools and strategies, we aim to create impactful solutions that better prepare learners for future opportunities, improving both the quality of education and its reach.
